Author Details

Dana Hanson is a Star Trek writer and member of the Screen Rant training team. A lifelong lover of good storytelling, Dana attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating in 2019 with a degree in film production and writing. When not working, Dana enjoys spending time with her pet rabbit and geeking out about sci-fi with her friends.

Industry Focus

Dana has been a Star Trek fan for over 15 years, ever since she saw her first episode of Star Trek: The Original Series at the age of 11. Dana's love of the franchise has led her to some incredible places, including numerous conventions and the creation of an album of Star-Trek-inspired original songs with her father.

Favorite Media

Although she loves all of Star Trek, Dana's favorite series is Star Trek: Voyager, which she can ramble on obsessively about if given the chance. She is always eager for the next thing Star Trek has to offer, and is passionate about the vision of diversity and inclusion that is finally being fully realized in newer installments of the franchise.
